Use the Edit Attributes menu to quickly edit certain attributes of the design or selected objects without
accessing the main Edit Part dialog box .
Edit Attributes Commands Description
Selected Name
Edit the name of the selected object (only a single object must be selected). This is the name used in
controls and reports to refer to the object. By default the object has an assigned name but this changes it
to a custom name. This can make textual references to objects easier to recognise.
Selected Net Angle
The Net angle of an object in the angular increment around the curcumeferencec of the object used in its
intersection calculation. The higher it is the more accurately the design intersection calculated. Generally a
high increment (e.g. 15 degrees) is perfectly acceptable as a 'draft' increment for working representation.
When the design is output the data is reclaculated to a more accurate level defined in the program options
(see: DXF Options ). It the 'Use Global Accuracy' option is unchecked
then this accuracy is used for output
also.
Design Net Angle
This changes the net angle for the whole design (see Selected Net Angle attribute above). This is a useful
command for quickly increasing the accuracy of the internal design calculation in order to view it in more
detail. Increasing the option does make the calculations proportionally slower so it is more usual to keep
the Net Angles of all object at a draft level when working on the design in the CAD system.
Z-Angle
Edit the Z-Angle of the selected object (only a single object must be selected). The Z-Angle is the rotation
angle of the object section around its own axis. the Edit Part dialog box
'General' also provides acces to
editing this attribute.
