Description: To edit the shape, sizes and attributes of an individual object.
Conditions: The CAD designer must be in
object selection mode  with a single object selected.

The Purpose of the Edit Part Dialog Box

The edit part dialog is used for editing the section shapes, sizes and attributes of an individual object. It is opened on an object by selecting it in the CAD view and selecting the Edit Part menu command, or the tool button on the 'Design' tab of the CAD view toolbar. If more than one object is selected in the current view the edit part buttons and menu items will be disabled (grayed out). It can be used specifically to do the following:

            1. Change the section shape of one or both ends of the object.
            2. Edit the dimensions of the end section shapes.
            3. Add or delete nodes from the object.
            4. Alter basic vales such as Z-Angles and Net Angles.
            5. Change the object orientation (if the object is linked at no more than 1 node).
            6. Specify the type of matching to initiate on (or from) the object when the dialog is closed.
