The following is an index of the design tutorial examples that are available in this help file, or via the
Revcad website. These examples are more or less sequentially organized to introduce all the concepts and
facilities necessary for design in the Sheet Lightning CAD design environment. We recommend users to go
through the whole section, though it may be possible to selectively skip steps where there is repetition of
earlier principles. Design files often include the design saved at various stages of development so it is
possible to skip a stage by simply loading the next stage:
5. Create a three piece conical intersection with 3D orientations.
6. Convert a perpendicular cylindrical tee into an angle tee.
7. Create a square-to-round adapter.
8. Create a skewed cylinder.
9. Create a 3D skewed cylinder using construction lines.
10.. Create an intersection between 2 skewed cones.
11. Create an intersection between 3 skewed cones.
12. Create a tee intersection of a cylinder with a square-to-round adapter (problems discussed).
13. Create a conical lid with rectangular chimney.
14. Create a two-way inline branch diverter.
15. Create a 3-piece rectangular to circular reducing gutter bend.
Special Design
1. Create a swept bend (i.e. segmented or lobster-back bend).
2. Create a multi-branch diverter using axial copy.
3. Create a structural pipe node with bridge strengtheners.
Parameterization of Designs
1. Create a parametric angled bend.
2. Create a parametric angled tee.
3. Create a parametric cornerized square-to-round adapter.
