Use the File menu to open, save, append and close, new or existing design files, and to convert open designs between general CAD design and parametric designs.

File Commands Description

New Design

Opens a new empty CAD design  file.

Open Design

Use the Open dialog box to load an existing CAD design  file (see: Sheet Lightning Files ).
Open Design Browser

Use the design file library browser to open the design file library browser window. The browser is a specialized design viewer that allows a grid of designs to be previewed and selected. See - Using the library file browser .

Append

Append a design file to the active design.

Save

Save the active design file with the current name.

Save As

Save the active design file with a new name.

Save All

Save all open design files with their current names.

Close

Close the active design file .

Close All

Close all open design files (child windows).

Open Parametric

Use the open dialog box to load an existing parametric file .

Open Parametric Browser

Use the paramatric file  library browser to select and open an existing design file.

Convert to Parametric

Convert the design file to a parametric design file.

Export

Open the Export menu for exporting data to files and applications.

Print

Generate a report for the active file  and send the report to the printer.

Print Setup

Selects the printer and paper sizes. The printer paper setting is important because it is used in all unfolded pattern layouts to indicate the print pages for the full size unfolded layout output. The partitioned paper outline is visible in all layout windows.

Exit

Close all files and exit the program.
