Arranging Objects in a Layout

The objects in a layout are arranged into a default format when the layout view are created. No automatic nesting exists in the program but the objects can be manually moved and positioned in the view. The main command for altering the arrangement is the 'Move' command.

This move command is similar to the move command for the 3D design window but it has enhancements for the purpose of creating a 2D layout. Objects can be both moved and rotated in  a single operation.


Procedure to Move Layout Objects

1. Select one or more objects in the layout.
2. Select the Move command graphic

3. Move the cursor back into the design area and select a point. If required select the 'Snap Point' command graphic
  and snap the cursor to a point on the objects (highlighted green). The selected point becomes the drag point for the object/s.
4. Move the cursor dragging the selected objects. The command dialog appears as follows:
